This article helps you add and manage Service Location Indicator (SLI) codes in Universal Office. These codes, which are assigned when a diagnostic service is billed by a participating hospital/physician/group with a master number and admission date, are used when submitting a claim to MOH for services covered by OHIP.
To perform the following procedures, in Administration Setup, double-click the Service Locators icon.
Add a Service Locator Indicator
- Click [Add Service Locator] on the toolbar.
- Ensure the Status is set to Active.
- Enter the Service Locator Code and Description.
- Click Save and Close.
Deactivate or Reactivate a Service Locator Indicator
Note: By default, the system lists only active Service Locator Indicators. To list all Service Locator Indicators check the Show All box at the bottom left of the window.
- Locate and double-click the Service Locator Indicator.
- Change its Status to Inactive or Active.
- Click Save and Close.
Edit a Service Locator Indicator
- Locate and double-click the Service Locator Indicator.
- Make changes to the Service Locator Code or Description.
- Click Save and Close.
Delete a Service Locator Indicator
Note: A deleted SLI will no longer be usable in OHIP claims.
- Locate and select a Service Locator Indicator.
- Click [Delete Service Locator] on the toolbar.
- Click Yes when prompted.
