This article will help you create lists of frequently used (ICD-10-CA) codes. This helps speed up the process of adding injury codes to patient cases and to OCF-3, OCF-18, and OCF-23 forms. To perform the following procedures, open the Preset Manager.
Create an Injury Preset List

- Click [New Preset] on the toolbar.
- Enter a Preset Name and make sure its Status is set to Active.
Tip: You can create an Injury Preset based on an existing one. Simply click Duplicate, select an existing preset, then click Apply. - If you know the injury (ICD) code (e.g. S1240), enter it in a cell under the Code column in the Injuries List section of the screen. If you do not know the injury code, enter part of the code’s description in the search box above the Injuries List section, then click Search or press Enter. Codes with matching descriptions are listed. To add codes, check the box beside each one to be added, then click Add Selection.
- Click Save & Close.
